Setran Fall 2025 Newsletter

Today I received a beautiful card from a dear friend who has been following our family news closely. Her encouragement is always timely. Here is what her card read, “God…I’m never out of your sight…I look behind me and You’re there, then up ahead and You’re there, too. Your reassuring presence, coming and going. The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.” We are so very aware of God’s presence, protection, healing and provision. He is so faithful in a life that can be so fragile at times.
Ron’s Health Update
It’s been a very long and hard 10 months since Ron last walked. After becoming quite ill in November 2024 and seeking medical advice to no avail, he collapsed at home on December 13, 2024. We rushed him to the hospital where he was diagnosed with viral meningitis, and very soon after was diagnosed with Guillain-Barré syndrome, an autoimmune disease that attacks the nerves and causes paralysis. Ron’s paralysis started at his feet and went as high as his pelvis.
Soon after, he was diagnosed with Hydrocephalus, which causes inflammation of the brain and in his case caused short term memory loss and major confusion. This condition required surgery on his brain to place a VP Shunt on January 25, 2025, which is now a permanent fixture that drains the excess fluid into his abdomen.

Watch Ron take his first steps since Dec 2024:

BIG Family News
Our daughter Karissa and Zachary Grenier are engaged! After 4 years of dating Karissa and first planning to be engaged over Christmas, Zach patiently awaited Ron’s recovery and return home to ask for her hand in marriage. Our family and two of Karissa’s best friends from New York were a part of the surprise engagement on March 25th!

The wedding is fast approaching on February 28, 2026, and Ron’s goal is to be able to walk our precious daughter down the aisle!
Ministry Continues
We are so grateful that even through the months of hospitalization and recovery, God has continued to draw churches and ministries to Prayer Stations! In 2025 we have already built and sent out over 70 Prayer Stations around the US and Canada! Ron and I, along with my Dad, are sharing the load, but have swapped some of our responsibilities due to Ron’s current health status to see these orders filled. We are so excited to see communities impacted for Jesus! The enemy tried to stop us, but he failed!
Surprise Family Trip
This past winter, spring and summer we were just barely keeping our heads above water starting with 2 and a half months of hospital and rehab, the ministry work load, family responsibilities, and of course Ron’s recovery which included 2 to 3 rehab visits per week. Therefore, a family summer vacation was just not possible due to Ron’s confinement to a wheelchair and other home devices that made it necessary to remain home. This past month, our kids - Caleb and Diana - came to us and expressed that they wanted to treat us to a 5 day cruise and Diana made all of the arrangements for handicap facilities. We are so ready for a little break next month alongside our 4 adult kids (we’ll miss Zach) and 2 grandbabies. God is so good!
Fall Ministry & Family
Our home, ministry and schedules are full and we wouldn’t have it any other way! It is our prayer that as our nation has just lost a pillar of our faith this past week, that we will continue to see the body of Christ rise, be bold in their faith and testimonies! That’s what Prayer Stations is all about. Challenging the body of Christ to get out there in their own communities, pray for the lost and hurting, and boldly share Jesus!

Prayer truly changes things!

We want to thank each of you for your prayers, encouragement, scriptures, love, support and trust in us, especially in this last season. We are truly a team and could not do what we do without you. May Jesus bless your homes, families and work places and provide for your every need.
We can’t do this without your partnership! We would be honored if you would join our SUPPORT TEAM.
 • Each Prayer Station staff member is responsible for raising their own support.
  •  All donations for staff, that are made out to Prayer Stations, are income tax deductible for the donor.
Setran Family Financial Needs:

Medical: This past year we have seen God supply in amazing ways and we are so grateful, but we are still looking at some sizable hospital, rehab and doctor bills for Ron’s care - upwards of around $6,000 remaining.
Wedding: Yes, there is a wedding in our near future. We are trusting God for his full provision.
Car: Our 2013 Dodge Charger is nearing it’s end and we will be needing to replace it in the near future.
